Join me on this lovely route over Oaxaca's highlands and down into jungle for Oaxaca's highland endemics like Red Warbler, the bizarre Slaty Vireo, Dwarf Jay, Blue Mockingbird, the highly sought-after Sumichrast's Wren, and colorful jungle species of the Sierra Madre Oriental's foothills. Trip starts and ends near Oaxaca International Airport, in Oaxaca City with arrivals taking place January 5 and departures taking place January 11.

We'll drive the 4.5 hours down to Tehuantepec and the coast for Oaxaca's suite of coastal endemics, main targets being Orange-breasted and Rose-bellied Bunting!
